You are not a victim to the pain, the brokenness, the problems, the past, the fear, the words they speak, the sickness.
Those are things of this world, and you are not to dwell in this world, dear one.
To dwell as a victim is to believe that Christ didn’t really overcome the violator.
(Is that not who the devil is-a violator? Is he not just trying to violate your perspective of grace? Is he not just trying to violate the weight of the glory before you? The joy and the Kingdom you are being given? He knows that he cannot win, but he will stop at nothing to corrupt it all for those he can get his hands on.)
Christ didn’t conquer Calvary for you to gain salvation, yet still be a victim of corruption.
He overcame so that you could both gain and overcome.
He didn’t just pull you out, He is pulling you up.
You are a child of God, a heir.
You are being sanctified, restored, revived.
Stop believing the lies that you are your life. Christ is your life. To live is Christ.
Stop living as a victim; stand up and out and see that you, beloved, are a victor.
And as a victor over this world, you will see that this world is all just flesh and dust, and that all that matters is souls.
And you will stand and fight, knowing that every broken bone in your victorious body is bonded together with grace.
And with passion in those same bones, you will not wonder about your calling. You will know your calling, as deep as you know your victory, is to be a vessel that the Lord will rush His Spirit through, turning others from victims into victors, just like you.
Victims into victors, something only He could do.
This is the transformation.
And this is the Gospel.
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4, 5 ESV)
